Hello!
Well, after some sporadic, at most, posts over the past little while, I am back in the game!! And it feels good! I'm hoping this will be the start of a long stretch of regular posts. Definition of regular - well, I'm not sure! But I do really want to start dedicating more time to my beloved card making! My card today started out being based on the Retro Sketches design for this week. And, as seems to always happen, I veered off course a little bit - or should I say a lot! But I'll still throw it in the mix since it was the inspiration!
Here's the sketch:
And here's my really not very close representation of it:
It's a mixture of TAWS Awesome Blossom (oh I love that set), PS Reflections (equally loved), Spring Fling (the little butterfly), Flap Happy and Alphadot. I'm quite happy with how it turned out - and it gave me a chance to play with some new ink colours I bought. The card for my cousin's 50th birthday, which already passed, but we will be getting together for lunch (hopefully soon!) to celebrate. Hope she likes it!
Thank you so much for dropping by!
Shannon
Eeeeee...this is scrumptiously delicious! Stunning, bright, cheery, fresh, adorable and all around wonderful! Your card makes turning 50 extra special and your cousin will love, love, love this! Wow - talk about making a 'return' in a significant way; retrosketch inspiration definitely visible. So looking forward to seeing more (and more and more) from you. New inks? As one ink challenged, I so want to know what you used, pretty please! Your post = first 'stop' this morning, and you've totally brightened this rainy mountain day! Yes indeed - winning card! Absolutely winning!
