Hello!
I made three more Christmas cards last night! I'm laughing at myself - going from "I'm just going to take a break for a *little* while longer" only a few days ago, to full-on card bonanza!! Whaaaattt happened there?!! ha ha!!!
I just sat down last night and played. Again, no challenges, just allowing my mind to go wherever it felt like going!
And here they are:
I am definitely on a craft base kick. Donna Mikasa is the inspiration for that. She makes THE most beautiful cards using a craft base. And her style is just incredible!
I have a few things on the go today, but I'm hoping to make at least one card today. Yup, the bug is back!!!
Thanks so much for dropping by for a visit!
Shannon
The last card is just so so so cute!! Seems like you are ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are on FIRE!!!! Love all your CUTE christmas cards...totally fun!
ReplyDeleteCheck you OUT, Shannon!! Girl, you are back with a drum roll and parade!! I have been through the other recent posts and am totally inspired!
ReplyDeleteBut I do think you should link them up to some challenge just so others can be just as inspired! Do you know about the site "Paper Playful?" I'm sure you do. It's great for finding at least an "Anything Goes" challenge to link up with. I love doing the challenges to meet new people and see what other works of art people are making.
Keep it up, sweetie!! Hugs, Darnell
Your Christmas cards are so cute, Shannon!! I can't tell which one is my favorite because I like all of them! :)
ReplyDelete...it's definitely a good bug...for sure, for sure! These are so cute Shannon! I adore the little hippy 'flower child' Christmas tree! And of course, your stitching is to die for! Awesome shading on Rudolph and pretty little bows on the sweet gingham hearts! So...um...folk artsy (ya think that could actually be a card category?)
ReplyDeleteMaybe a little break was just the thing you needed to spark your creativity! It's totally obvious to me that you're on an awesome roll with these sweet cards. Did you draw those stitches???!!! Amazing. Great cards one and all, Shannon. Bev
ReplyDeleteOkay, this IS a bonanza for all of us who admire, love and are inspired by your amazing creativity and ingenuity! Look at these darling cards!! Signature Shannon-heart on each: check. Perfect image +sentiment placement: check. Delightful colouring/stamping: check. Delightful, oh-so-cute whimsy and joy: check. Sum total of the results: AWESOME X BRILLIANT (as in only you would place a wee tree on the sweet car, and little bows on the ornaments, and your fussy-cutting? OMGreatness! Attention to detail - add that to the 'check' list as well!). Now, let's see: me, Geri and now Darnell (and others) have added our voices to the "you must showcase your amazing talent more' chorus. You must...trust me: if you build it, we WANT to come and be amazed, inspired and awe-struck! Challenges, DT, GD: go for the gusto, my dear friend. Go, go, go...Hugs~c
ReplyDeleteHey, Shannon! Thanks for the shout out and I'm happy to convert you to being a lover of kraft! Your cards are just adorable--you have such a way with paper piecing!

OMGoodness!!! These are SO cute!! And I can so relate. Sometimes I get tired of doing something and think I'll never want to do that again, and the next day, I'm all excited about it again haha!! .... also I find it very fun to just play around without trying to fit things into certain challenges. Really love these!!!
ReplyDeleteTheseare CUTE CUTE CUTE. I love that they are simple and pop with color
ReplyDeleteWell, I am not sure which one my fave Shannon, but they all look so Amazing! You did a wonderful job! Just Adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Donna's kraft bases too and now I love yours too! They are all totally cute, but I chuckled aloud at that little car braving its way through the snow with a tree that is way too big for it!
ReplyDeleteOMG these are so sweet!!! I LOVE the TAWS car in the snow...genius to show it creeping up on the tires :) And, that reindeer...adorbs!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so sweet! I'm not sure if i missed it, but what stamps did you use for these? Love them!
