A Card for a Good Cause

Hello!

Happy Sunday!   Today's card is for a special challenge over at the Friday Mash Up.  I haven't played along with this challenge before, but I will be in the future!  It is a fabulous challenge!  When I read Barb's post, I knew I just had to play along too.  The challenge is inspired by an organization called H.A.N.D.S. - Hope After Neonatal Death through Sharing.  Please have a look and maybe consider playing along!

Here's the challenge:

And here's my card:

It was very much inspired by a card Kim Singdahlsen at Joyful Creations made a few months back.  I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and always wanted to CASE it.  I thought it was perfect for this challenge.  The sentiments are Paper Smooches (including the "you" - cut out by hand, since I STILL don't have a die cutting machine!) and the sweet little bird house is from Lawn Fawn.  The heart is from Studio Calico, and the rest is just patterned paper and twine.

Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!
Shannon

  1. Gorgeous card! The colors and the subtle elements are so fitting for a sympathy card. Of course, I am gasping in awe of your fussy cut "you"....sheesh girl, how did you get your scissors into the loops??? The rounded corners add softness to the card....so fitting for the condolence message.

  3. Again, your thoughtfulness and warm-heart shine through with this card; talk about a most special cause as inspiration for your card! Just this past July, one of the men who heads up the timing software we use in cycling/biathlon and his wife lost their baby minutes before birth. Sad beyond sad! I can't imagine the depth of grief, or how people even more on with such tragedy! Your card is sure to uplift the spirits of whoever receives it. A gorgeous, soft, special keepsake card from a person who is a treasure herself: YOU!! Hugs!

  4. Oohhhhh an amazing CASE!!! Not the best type of card to make, but this is such a beautiful card for the recipient for a special cause ♥

By the way, I've never been to the Bean & Beyond (though when we walked past it, my boyfriend really wanted to try it... but we ended up going to Rocanini which is his favorite!)

  5. Beautiful CAS card. I love the font and the little embellishments. CAS on kraft-colored cards are my favorite! Thanks for offering your donation and for joining the Friday Mashup this week.
