Two Cards for a long overdue post!

Hello!!!

Oh my goodness, it has been so long since I last posted!!  My work schedule has changed significantly, and it has completely eaten up all of my card making time!!  And I am not a happy camper about that!!!  It's also affected my ability to comment on all of your blogs, which is most disappointing of all for me :( .  I just love connecting with all of you, and feel terrible that I haven't been able to be as "active" as I was.  I'm not sure things will be back to "normal" anytime soon.  But at every opportunity I have, I will drop by for sure.

Okay, and because things are still crazy, I am going to make this short and sweet!  Two cards today.  The first one is for Lisa Arana's Wanna Sketch Challenge.  I LOVE this challenge, and just couldn't let this one pass me by!!  And I love the PS Sparks Challenge as well, and this week, it's an Anything Goes.  So I took a little time today to play, and here's what I came up with:

And this second card is one that I made for a 50th wedding anniversary that friends of my parents were celebrating.  I think 50 years SUCH a milestone.  To love and support each other, though all that life would have offered them through the years, the good, the bad and the ugly, is something to be honoured.  Love and commitment in its truest form.  No challenges on this one - I just winged it!  And here it is:

Thank you SO much for coming be, especially since posting has been non-existent around here lately.  It means a LOT to me!!

Shannon

These cards are wonderful. I love the floral note die cut...and your perfectly colored pup! The floral border is genius too, love that you left it black & white.
The anniversary card is adorable. 50 years together...lessons to be learned from that couple :)

  6. Cheering, applauding, happy dancing and all around cavorting wildly in seeing your post (you can probably hear me!)!! We've missed you x a zillion (and I soooo owe you a note - or novel...!). I'm so glad that in the midst of 'crazy times', you've 'unsubmerged' to bring us these two delights! First, your 'puppy-eyed' puppy is so adorable, nestled on his flowery notebook background, and surrounding by the black and white floral border. Perfect 'thinking of you' card; perfect card for Lisa's challenge! Your anniversary card (50 years truly is a milestone, and my family is ever so fortunate - my folks are at year 55!!) is a wonderful tribute to such an occasion! The heart balloons, the sweet bunny...darling in every way! Your parents' friends will treasure this; pass along Happy Anniversary and Many More wishes from me, too! Yes, indeed, love x love x love your cards! Despite your hectic schedule, your mojo appears to be flourishing; hopefully things will settle at some point (soon!) so you can give it some play time! Know that we fully understandyour hours are filled with an abundance of things, so comment when you can, create when you can. We're here! In the 'between' times, be sure you're taking good care of YOU! Super lots of hugs~c

  7. Yay! You're back. And hey, no need for apologies! It seems we are all in the same boat!! I bet "someone" shrunk back our hours in a day and never told us! Now, if I ever find the little bugger that did that...he (yep "he" cuz boys always are 'badder' than girls) is in some big, big trouble!

Two fabulously sweet cards made by a fabulously sweet & very talented young lady! The daisy border and that cute puppy - would surely melt the snow that is currently falling (oh yeah, a blizzard). Love the three sided daisy frame - unpredictable and so effective!

And the anniversary couple will surely shed a tear of joy when they see this card (old people always cry happy tears). Love the gingham hearts!
